Psychotherapy in Brentwood
Online and telephone sessions available. In-person sessions in nearby Chelmsford — approximately 15 minutes by car or a direct train from Brentwood station.
Brentwood is one of those Essex towns that looks enviable from the outside — good schools, strong property values, a thriving high street, and a commute to London that takes under 40 minutes. But the people I see from Brentwood often tell a different story. Behind the front door, the pressures of maintaining a successful career while being present for family, the strain on relationships, the exhaustion of never quite feeling like you’re doing either well enough — these are real and they take a toll. Stress, burnout, anxiety and relationship difficulties are among the most common reasons people from Brentwood get in touch.
I don’t have a therapy room in Brentwood itself, but Chelmsford is approximately 15 minutes away by car or a direct train from Brentwood station. Many of my Brentwood clients find the short journey manageable, and I offer flexible session times — including evenings up to 8pm — to fit around commuting and family schedules. For those who prefer not to travel, online and telephone sessions are equally available and just as effective for most people. The therapeutic relationship doesn’t depend on being in the same room, and many clients find that remote sessions integrate more easily into a busy week.
The therapy I offer is Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapy, grounded in the Person-Centred approach and integrating Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. It’s relational, depth-oriented and tailored to you rather than following a fixed protocol. People from Brentwood work with me on a range of issues: childhood trauma that’s still playing out decades later, anxiety and emotional overwhelm that no amount of success seems to quieten, low self-worth and the persistent sense of not being good enough, addiction and the emotional patterns that drive it, and relationship difficulties rooted in early attachment experiences.
